What did you LOVE about you shower?

Hi! I will be planning my sis's shower over the next year and wanted to know what you girls loved about your shower? Games, poems, little touches that made it really special

My mother did a wine basket instead of a wishing well. She asked all the guests to bring a bottle of wine with a note of good luck. My wonderful mother also got us a wine frig. By the time the shower was over we had a well stocked wine frig and lots of bottles of red to enjoy. Even got a very nice bottle that was earmarked for our first anniversary.
If wine isn't their thing, my DH would have loved a beer basket or a stock the bar gift request. The best part for guests is that they don't have to spend a lot of extra money to bring something fun. I actually think that I got a couple of wedding favor wine stoppers (I'm perfectly fine with the re-gifting).
