what did you put in your OOT bag??

we put a large bottle of Saratoga water, dirtys potato chips, i filled clear cellophane bags with pink m&ms, pistachios, cashews, chocolate covered peanuts and a bag of harry and david moose munch. another cute idea is to put apples in a little paper sac..i wanted to do that but didnt have time. black and white cookies are popular too.

-keep in mind.. i only had 4 out of town baskets. if i had more i wouldnt have done as much.

Since our guests will really only be at the hotel for 12 hours if that we put in each box the following:

1 advil pack (i wanted to do 2 but FH said it wasn't necessary)

2 bottles of poland spring water
1 bag of chips
1 pack of gum
1 bag of M&Ms
1 nutragrain bar

2 bottles of poland spring
2 bags of pretzels
1 pkg of chesse crackers w/ pb
1 bag of choc chip cookies
1 organza bag w/ fall colored m&m's

(snack sizes of course!)

still deciding on some things but I've purchased:

water
Chips Ahoy Packs
Ritz Bits Crackers
Breath Mints

I may possibly put in some leftover Halloween Candy as the timing will be perfect for that.

For anyone who checks in early, I am putting in another direction card for the wedding (my newest idea!).

I'm not going too crazy buying things because I once checked in to a hotel where there were a few weddings that had OOT bags and they gave us one from the wrong wedding because they ran out of the right ones! We got someone else's bag.

I saw on some lists that girls were putting tylenol in their bags & I just wanted to say that you shouldn't--you should only include advil because if you have a hang over or have taken alcohol you shouldn't take tylenol. My FH is a pharmacist says that tylenol with alcohol don't mix & even one dose of tylenol can mess up your liver.

Just wanted to let everyone know. I have taken tylenol plenty of times after drinking but there have been cases were taking tylenol & seriously hurt people & we know of someone who it actually killed. Don't mean to alarm anyone just trying to help.

I was told to put Tylenol in there b/c not everyone can take Ibuprophen. Tylenol even pregnant women can take. I am putting it in there for a headache, not a hangover. that never even occurred to me since I am lucky enough to not get hangovers.

I guess those folks who do get hangovers should bring their own stash

I also don't belong to Costco or Sams', etc. but my FMIL does. She bought them for me. a pack of 30 packets of Advil or Tylenol is only $7!

what you can do it get one of those 30 day trial memberships and buy your stuff with that! you can save a lot at those places.
