What did you tell your dj?

As far as what type of music to play? I'm at a loss. I know what I do NOT want to hear, but other than that...I don't know what to tell him.

We had a do NOT play list and a MUST play list and he did a great job of following that. I think they are used to this with weddings and would probably appreciate it, as long as they are not too long.

We told him what not to play (Marc Anthony or Jennifer Lopez - which was hard to do because he's friends with them) and a few 'must hear' songs...that was it!

So other than that did they play just usual 'wedding' dancing music? I know we don't want any hard core rap, rock, no chicken dance, etc. But as far as songs to play...if I give them a few will they get the idea?

I'm giving the DJ a list of my 'must-play' and 'do not play'. They should be able to do a good mix beyond that.
