What did you write in thank you cards?

What did you write in thank you cards?

Is there some sort of generic thing I can write? I really have no desire to write anything, I want to make this as quick and painless as possible. We only recieved one boxed gift, everything else was envelopes. What do you write to people who didnt give anything? TIA

i wrote 'thank you so much for your generous gift and for being there to share in our special day'
for people who didn't give a gift (we had 2 couples) i wrote 'thank you for being a part of our special day'
and for people who sent a gift but didn't come to the wedding, i wrote 'thank you so much for your generous gift. we are sorry you couldn't be at the wedding, but appreciate you thinking of us'

Not that I worte mine out yet, but that is exactly what I plan on writing in mine.

people who didnt send a gift- i didnt send a card- might not be the 'right' thing to do, but i didnt care... i only sent it to one couple, because I thought they might have forgotten to give the envelope- I wrote, thank you for sharing in our special day...and something like - I hope you enjoyed yourselves...
