I plan to do petal cones, menus, programs, card box. My BP and I will also be doing everything with the favors together.
I was also thinking of buying an aisle runner by myself and sprinkling silk petals by myself vs paying the florist to do this.
Are there any other EASY DIY projects?
Which DIY projects are you doing???

Re: What DIY projects are you doing?
I'm doing save-the-dates--today, in fact, although I had planned to do them weeks ago. Unfortunately a lot of regular life intervened. That's the problem with DIY projects: do them early, or you might not do them at all. Most of us are really busy people, besides being brides.
Anyway, I'm NOT doing my own invites as the save-the-dates has taught me that if I want them to go out on time and look absolutely perfect without me tearing my hair out, I should pay to get them done. However, I think I'm going to jazz up my invites with DIY envelope liners and possibly a matching belly band, as that's easy and I can do it while they're being printed. I'm buying my own envelopes and sending them to the printer as I want special envelopes, so I'll know exactly what the liners will look like.
I AM doing my own escort cards--or, at least, I'm getting them and asking my dad, a very talented calligrapher, to do them, and also the table cards. I'm doing programs, which should be easy. And then there's the big thing: I'm doing my own flowers. I can't see paying thousands of dollars for the flowers I can do myself for less than $500. Roses are inexpensive, and even I can hand-tie a bouquet and create a centerpiece. Down at the bottom are pretty much exactly what I'm going to do, except my vases will be shorter, not square, with no lace, and there will be some yellow roses instead of pink. And my bouquet will be all Vendela roses and bigger, while my MoH's will be all Sahara and bigger. That bouqeet is a combo of Vendela and Sahara roses. The bridesmaid's bouquets will be about that size but yellow roses. And the ribbons will be similar, but blue and with a large bow.
