What the best way to ask my bridal party to be part of it?... my FH sister and i are friends but i feel werid just being like hey wanna be my bridesmaid?... i wanna do soemthing nice for all of them (i only have 4 girls including my MOH)

I just asked everyone whenever I thought the time was right. Of course I have 7 girls, so that makes it more difficult. You could take them all out for lunch or dinner. Or maybe you could all just go out for drinks. Are you having an engagement party? You could ask them then too.

Hmmmm, I say take em out individually. If you're having an engagement party, I agree with Pebbles, ask them then. You can give a little personalized gift bag for ea girl and a thoughtful card.

I had all of them over for brunch. I have 5 girls and all of them live around here, but I wanted to do it that way because some of the girls didn't know one another. They all had no clue that I had an ulterior motive ::insert sneaky laugh here::.......... When the conversation died down I told them I had a small gift for all of them and I gave them each a card explaining why I wanted them to be part of my BP and a book called 'You Can Always Wear It Again: A Celebration Of Bridesmaids Dresses' (it was a hit). On the inside, I put a poem.... ::clearing my throat:: It's hard to believe that in just a short while Aaron and I will be walking down the aisle. Nothing would give me more joy and pride Than to have you there by my side. Will you be my bridesmaid/MOH Tears were shed, it was great!!!! Be creative and do it however you see fit for your girls. I wanted them to feel special and let them know that being my BM's was going to be fun. I think it worked! Good luck! (Here's what the book cover looked like.... it was HYSTERICAL!!)

and im not having an engagement party but all the girls love getting mail..lol we dont all live close anymore so we have a lil book we keep in rotation to keep us all in contact so i think it ould be cute to send it to them

I was thinking about that myself...I'm not sure honestly
Maybe a little gift, but nothing overboard...maybe go to Michaels and buy beads and make them a bracelet or necklace that says bridesmaid on it or something
FH and I were thinking of rubbing the letters of Bridesmaid and Groomsman on wine glasses for the girls and pilsner glasses for the guys...as long as it can be inexpensive...otherwise its gonna be like 'So ya wanna...ok SUPER!'

Amazon.com... they have other really cute ones and they're all pretty funny (it was a toss-up between the one I actually got and another one called '101 uses for a bridesmaid dress'). It was only like $10 or so.

Actually I just bought my stuff this weekend to ask my bm's to be my bm's. I went to the chocolate store and bought lollipop molds of a wedding cake (they had TONS of different ones) and i'm going to get ribbons made at party city that read, will you be my bridesmaid? I thought it was cute, I made my first batch tonight I'll post a picture of the finished lollipop (minus the ribbon, those will take longer)

These are cute, we're going to give them as gifts (not the only gift) to our bridal party so they can each have there own toasting flute - you can use it to ask them too? (If you're 100% positive they'll say yes)
In the catalog you can see the BM and GM separate - this site you can only see the bride and groom....

Cook a nice dinner invite them all over, during dinner let them know what what each one of them mean to you and then explain to them that this is you would like for them to not only be a your wedding but be a part of the wedding party.
That was not how I did it because all my girls are spread out in diffrent states, so I wrote a nice e-mail saying On this first day of July two thousand and eight my rib will become my wife and my bestfriend will become my husand. Then I wrote all of their names, positions and said I would like you all to be standing up front with me being the strong support beems that I'm going to need. After that they all e-mailed or called with their response.

I already found the bridesmaid dress I want the girls to wear.....so I am going to take the girl's pics and cut and paste thier image on the models.....I think it's kinda cheesy but I'm all about getting a laugh. I am planning to make it up to them when it's time to buy the gifts ha ha ha ha

I asked them at the engagement party. I made cards with an old picture of us on the cover and a poem inside. I also made cups with pink and white candy (color scheme) on the inside. On the cups I either wrote bridesmaid or Maid of Honor. I have pictures in my photo albums.

wow ladies these are all GREAT!! ideas i love them... Thanks for helping me out!! im so excited to get started... now i just need to make up my mind. i know they'll all say yes ive pretty much ask them just not formally.. and my FH sister i haven't asked cuz i didnt know how. so now im going to make up my mind and get started!!!!
