what do i need to know about yarmulke's ...

I know i need to buy yarmulkes (kippot) for the wedding ceremony but had some questions:

-- how many do i need to buy (about 1 for every 2 people?)

-- i've heard that black suede is the best because satin gives off a reflection in photos ... is that true?

-- anyone know a good place to get them (either with or without personlization) for a good price?

does anyone know how many i need to buy? We're going to have about 120 guests, though most of them are not Jewish ...

I would buy for at least 60 if not more to have extras. Even the non-jewish men have worn yarmulkes at every Jewish wedding I have been to out of respect.

try this site...they are more money than kippot center but no tax since they are based in NJ (if they ship to NY) and also, free shipping on over 5 dozen suede yarmulke, so it works out cheaper. They just never answer the phone when I call which is frustrating.

i actually just bought them this past weekend ... they were $1.85 each (though i had to pay about $10 for shipping too) at KippotCenter.com and they came with free personalization.

i bought 70 of them for my wedding and the total was $156 shipped

nope, no tax

$1.85 is the cheapest i've found for suede kippahs ... all other sites i've seen are $1.95 (or more).

oh, i bought the ones with the silver trim per my mom's request ... they were $0.25 more i think ...
