ok so fh and i have a house and been living together for 2.5 yrs... i have everything i need and i am thinking about not registering... i mean how many more plates, pots, blenders do i need... what do u think?

why dont you just register for things that you always wanted but would never buy yourself or do a honeymoon registry? or you can do a donation registry

i was thinking the same thing.... but then i thought when can we ever again ask for stuff we would never spend the money on ourselves? The stuff we do have with the exception of our everyday dishes, glasses, and silverwear we could really use updated better quality stuff that will actualy last longer than a few years and need replacing.

I was wondering the same thing. we also have lived together a long time and we need nothing for the house. How do you tell people this? I really dont feel like returning toasters, blender, pots and pans.

I am going to register for things we always wanted but never wanted to spend $$$ on! We bought very basic pots and pans when we moved in together and I had a lot of things from when I lived on my own. We registered for better quality cookware and things like a waffle iron, a wok, and fancy bedding that I always wanted! If you already have everything you need maybe a honeymoon registry would be a good idea!

I think that you are being very thoughtful and that your guests would appreciate that fact! However... you deserve gifts !! YOu shoudl have a honeymoon registry or register for cool stuff liek a tv or other entertainment products that your friends can team up to buy you ya know...
Your an awesome person and if I was going to your shower I would want to know what you really want so that I could buy it and make you and Jordan smile!!

I'm sure you could figure out something.... new bedding? a new coffeemaker? (we just got an amazing one for our eparty and we are obsessed lol) upgrades on silverware? something odd like a wafflemaker? Vases? Yankee candles? (I want the 'Wedding Day' one!
I'm wary of honeymoon registries... I know it's a popular thing to do today but I can see how some older guests might think that is tacky..... it depends on your guests though!

Are you having a shower? If so, I would register for some luxury items people can chip in for b/c with a shower people will bring gifts and at least if you register they will be things you care for and like. Also, maybe some electronics, etc.

instead of people giving you gift card for a store they deposit money into an account which in turn you use for air fare hotel etc. google it a ton of results will appear

I would register for better quality things than what I have because I have seen showers without registry and people just give you random gifts that you will probably never use, and how much lingerie can you have

Although I think a honeymoon registry is a great idea I have to tell you my mother called me last week. she had just gotten in invite to my cousin's wedding and it had a honeymoon registry and she actually called it tacky. I laughed and told her she just did what i've read in some bridal magazines that 'older' relative do!!!!
I maybe register for some items that you wouldn't normally buy yourselves that way more traditional guests have something to pick and your more 'trendy' guests will go for the honeymoon registry
