This is NOT meant to be nasy post, so please do not take it that way.
What I have noticed about some women is:
1. Making their mate their 'world'- never having a life outside the relationship 2. Being insecure and overly jealous 3. Being clingy and possesive 4. Not communicating their feelings, thinking your guy can read your mind 5.shutting out their friends
I know I have alot more, but if any of you have anything to add- please do.

Stop seeing your mate as your lover also. I never get women who 'let themselves go' after marriage.

Thinking your mate is going to change...once you get engaged, once you get married, once you have a child.
People don't change like that - they have to recognize a problem and want to work on a solution.

Become complacent and forget to give as much attention their man as they did when they were first dating. You have to always let him know that you think he is the smartest, sexiest, most fantastic man you have ever met. Men can feel taken for granted too!!

I have 2 friends who are f*** notorious for this.
* When their significant other call they say hold on and they never return to the line * They refuse to do anything on their lovers day off, I guess they are afraid hubby will leave ( I dont know)
* They keep their men on the shortest ******* leashes I have ever seen
I could go on and on and on but the whole things aggrevates me

Alina, I am not placing blame on us at all. This just happens to be a woman's board and I thought we could all benefit from hearing what we or others may do wrong sometimes.

I have to learn that just because another couple paws each other in public, or just because they buy each other expensive things, does not mean that they are more in love than FH and me.

I try very HARD not to do this ... especially with wedding plans, living arrangements, romantacism, etc ... It can be hard not to sometimes, but each relationship is DIFFERENT!

When Dh and I were in the early years of our relationship, I found myself doing that, it is so self destructive.

Take their partner (and/or their relationship) for granted...
Fail to communicate...
Fail to do their part to keep the 'magic' alive...
(Either partner can be at fault for these things!!)

what I have seen from my friends with divorces, broken engagements....
1. Never give an ultimatum! If you do you better stick to it.
2. Don't fight dirty with each other - an arguement is never going to get settled if you call him bald and he calls you fat, etc.
3. 2 Wrongs never make a right.
4. Confront him if/when he makes fun of your friends or family.
5. Don't stop being true to yourself just to please his friends, the world won't stop if you're not their favorite person.

The funny thing is I was going to say what 2bugs said, comparing what your mate is not doing, vs. what you others are doing. Be thankful for all things.
Judgmental attitude Being overly critical
Not remembering we all have flaws, not allowing for being human, we all make mistakes, no one is perfect.
