What do women do wrong in relationships?

Original post by nrvbrd

This is NOT meant to be nasy post, so please do not take it that way.

What I have noticed about some women is:

1. Making their mate their 'world'- never having a life outside the relationship
2. Being insecure and overly jealous
3. Being clingy and possesive
4. Not communicating their feelings, thinking your guy can read your mind
5.shutting out their friends

I know I have alot more, but if any of you have anything to add- please do.

I know I have a tendency to compare our relationship - often negatively - to other couples.

I have to learn that just because another couple paws each other in public, or just because they buy each other expensive things, does not mean that they are more in love than FH and me.

I thought I was the only one who did this. I've really made an effort to stop, esp. with FH (I was very bad at doing this within past relationships.. it was destructive) I always thought everyone had a 'BETTER' relationship than me.. often that was simply not the case.

My relationship with FH is not without its faults, but in OUR eyes its pretty terrific. I try to remember that whenever I start to look at 'so and so' and envy what I 'think' they have that I don't. At the end of the day, it only matters that WE are together, in love, and really happy.

Trying to change their mate into their idea of the IDEAL partner instead of just accepting them for who they are.

Expecting a man to react to situations the same way that women do or be as sensitive as women are, because men really just aren't that way, IMO.

Taking the little things and making them into bigger issues when one really has nothing to do with the other.
(i.e. to a man, leaving his underwear on the floor everyday is just 'being a man' to a woman that's a man showing that he's bein disrespectful and insensitive to the fact that she can't stand his underwear on the floor.
I say if you're the only one that's bothered by it then you should be the one throwing it in the hamper which takes a lot less time than having a discussion about your guys thoughtlessness)

Making comparisons to exes-there's a reason your with the guy your with (despite his flaws) and a reason an ex is an ex.

Spending more time dwelling on the negative than the positive. I think if you're going to spend an hour a day thinking of what's WRONG in your relationship, you owe it to your partner to spend equal time dwelling on the good things as well.

I bet if you asked a board full of men what they do wrong in a relationship they'd say, 'Uh, nothing.'

Women are alwyas so quick to point out the flaws in themselves and each other.

Susans I could not agree more...PS if you look for something you will find it, instead of harping on a person's faults, why not build him/her up when you do you will be surprised they will want to live up to your expectations

Ok, I am NOT going to put this in the wrong category, so please do not attack.

I will try to keep this PG.

I will say that I have heard BOTH sexes complain about their mates not being open minded when it comes to being intimate, but rather adhering to the normal conventional methods.

Again, I am not saying this is wrong, but it could in some cases better a relationship.

I htink women sometimes try to see men as a challenge.. adding more to their mystioque then there really is. (The drop-dead looking guy at the bar who smiles at a lady usually doesn't have much more to offer than looks and more than likely he'll be there another night looking for another pick-up.)

They try to mold men into their perfect view of a man. Either a guy is going to be there for you or he's not. Men are this cut and dry.

So if a guy is a challenge.. all the better. It makes the woman able to prove her beauty/devotion to him (and to HERSELF).

The good looking/plain guy who's sending roses doesn't match 'the hard-to-get' man. The guy who calls every night doesn't pose the same intrigue as the guy who never calls.

I'm not saying women are alone in this. I have been guilty of wanting the 'popular' ir 'hard-to get_ woman myself.. It's only when I said to myself.. I want a REAL woman.. not an image.. and I found one... And that STILL took a while.

But I thank God every day I finally did find my FW. She's my world!!!
