FMIL wants me to call her mom but I really can't bring myself to do it and I call FFIL by his first name, but I can see myself calling him Dad because he has been more of a father than my real father.

I was wondering about this the other day...I don't call them anything either! Think they notice? I don't think I'll ever do mom/dad, but I cant figure out if using their first or last names feels less weird. I don't FH calls mine anything either though, lol

I rarely call them anything but if I have to call them to get their attention I guess I would use their first name However, up until recently I would introduce them and Mr. and Mrs. lol until his Dad was like really stop call us by our first name. lol

I do not call them anything..I just talk
If I have to refer to them when talking to someone else I call them Mama & Papa (that is how everyone refers to them)
FH does not call my mom anything either (at least I don't think so)
So note to self when you are getting married your ILs have no name

I really don't use their names ever lol
FH's mom's nick name is CHiqui so I sometimes call her that. FH's dad's name is the same as FH so that would be weird...his nick name is Nandi but that's sort of what his wife calls him so....i'm stuck there. wonder how much time i can get away with not calling them anything lol

Mr. XXX and Mrs. XXX - i cant call them by their first names b/c its uncomfortable for me.
I was raised to respect my elders and to call them Mr. & Mrs. is the 'proper' way to address them.
I am going to have a hard time calling them mom and dad and that wont be happening till after the wedding. My MOM is my mom, that's how I see it - I would rather call them by their first names then 'mom' and 'dad'

i call them both by their first names...i don't think FH calls my parents anything! haha i never noticed until i read this thread
i'm not sure i'll call them mom and dad when i'm married- it just feels weird to call anyone but MY mom and dad by those names!

I call his parents by their first names. Sometimes I will write emails to his mom calling her 'mom' but never in front of my own mother because she would have a heart attack. FH calls my parents by their first names, but it took a long time for him to do so, especially my dad. My dad scares the crap out of people for some reason lol

I dont call them Mrs and Mr.... I use names... BUT i am not comfortable with calling them mom and dad...
