What do you call the ice sculpture that you pour liquor through?

And what type of drink is served through it?

Shots? Martinis?

Ice louche (I don't think I spelled that right).. We used to do them at college with vodka and cranberry juice

Its an ice luge- and you pour shots through it. I don't think I'd want one at my wedding, although they were very popular at frat parties when I was in college.

I think I've seen a picture where someone poured martinis through it into glasses though.

i once went to a wedding at the 4 seasons with an ice luge as part of the martini bar. it was very pretty and not at all frat-party like.

I've been to some weddings that have them as well. The first time I saw it I was surprised how classy you can make an ice luge look when you carve it into something and have a glass at the bottom! I've seen it both at a vodka and a martini bar station at a CH.

I'm having a vodka luge at my wedding. FH really wanted it. It was either have the catering hall do it in a bit of a classy way, or his friends would just make one for the after party and get wasted. Plus my hall threw it in for free

I definitely wasn't talking about anything 'frat-party' like! I saw one at a very classy wedding, and that's where I got the idea. In fact, I saw it again on Platinum Weddings with the monogram design, which showed me that I didn't have to choose between a monogram ice sculpture and a martini ice waterfall - or whatever you want to call it.

Moot point anyway... my place wanted to charge me an extra $10pp for it, so it's out. . Oh well.

We're having it and Im not sure what the tech. name is but ours is shaped like a martini glass and different kinds of martinis will be made and poured through it into the guests glass.

I think, if done properly, this can make for a beautiful sculpture. I've seen them at weddings set up with lights below it, used as a martini bar. Expensive, but beautiful..

I saw it in the city once with an orange mixed drink, maybe it was vodka, orange juice and triple sec (or some sort of liqueur).

Watermill has a pic on their site....i think it looks cool!! i dont think its Frat like....i mean yea if ppl start laying and chugging but if its for the martinis and all i love that idea!
