thanks jenn! I'm honored because I do the same thing when I read your posts. In fact, I was talking about you at work today because I received my avon mascara and put it on and asked people if they want to hump me. I know that's not how it was supposed to work (I was supposed to hump myself) but some of them said yes. Anyway, I fessed up that it was your line and not mine.

my parents call my grandparents mom and dad both sets.. as well as FIL they call their parents mom and dad.. so im sure i will end up doing it with time!

This is the same with me...i just feel its a nice tradition to carry on.

I know alot of girls, think its doesnt feel right or that FMIL hasnt earned that title. but remember she IS a mother too. a mother to your FH

i call his parents by their first names ( although i DO avoid it at all costs. ,. . big fan of the HEY YOU!)

i plan on calling them mom and dad after the wedding but its going to be really hard. i get sick to my stomach when i try to say it - i love them, but its just hard

my mom says i should just start now and get it over with but i cant bring myself to do it

i call the rest of his family whatever he calls them ( uncle frank, Nan, Grandpa etc)

i feel the same way!!!! i dunno why though. i feel like if i call her mom then like fh's sister might get offended cuz its HER mom not mine etc. and she IS the only daughter and now im there etc...

i over think things too much!

i dont really call her anything...

that probably sounds bad, but i never really need to call her to get her attention, and i dont call her on the phone.

if i HAVE to call her something..i use her first name.

it will probably stay that way after we are married.
i doubt i will call her 'mom'

same here i dont call her anything ....same thing with ffil.....i have a mom so no i wont be calling her mom.....

I call my them Mrs. Last name and Mr. last name! Sorry I'm southern so I have respect even though they totally wish I would call them by their first names but I can I feel wrong. SO now their use to it.

I think when we get married I'ma still call them by their last name until we have children then I'ma call them grandma and grandpa.

I think it's funny cause they see me as their daughter or one of the kids

I call her by her first name. Maybe when we're married I'll call her mom, i doubt it though. I call his grandparents grandma and grandpa though

Couldn't have said it better myself!!

I call them by their last names...they are so loving to me...but how do I even get to mention the topic of going more personal with their names?
Maybe when we have children then I can call then what my children do!
