no, actually they want me to call them mom and dad, which is really fine with me. I've had to call them Mr. and Mrs. for so long now, and it always felt so impersonal, that I'm looking forward to something more personal. (I've only known them for 7+ years!!!)

i don't think i could call them mom and dad since my parents are still alive. i'll call them by there first name

I don't know and me FH have always debated this I still right now call them Mr. and Mrs. I have only known them for about a year and half. I don't know I think after we get married I will call them by there first name.

Right now, I call them by their first names but I will probably switch to Mom and Dad

I have no idea what to call them. I really don't like his mom. Plus my mom passed away 2 years ago, so I just can't bring myself to call anybody else mom. I like his Dad, but I think it would be weird to call him Pop and her Mrs. They're also older than my parents so I feel disrespectful calling them by their first names. I'll think of something.

I call them by their first names. Once we have kids maybe I'll call them Grandma and Grandpa in front of the kids.

My dad has already informed me he wants to be called 'Pops' aka Pop-Pop

My FH used to not call my Dad anything and it drove me nuts. Now he calls him by his first name.

My sister actually waits until they look at her before she speaks to them, she never got through this question. It's way easier when you have kids because you can just say Grandma or Nanny or whatever but in that interim time, she always waited for them to look at her

right now both FH and I call each other's parents Mr. & Mrs. ,but once we get married, although it will be weird - we will call them Mom & Dad

FH calls my parents by their first names - which is what everyone wanted. My FMIL asked me what I wanted to call her and I immediately said her first name - so that's been easy. FFIL (inlaws are divorced) is the least communicative person I've met and when he speaks to me, he calls me 'young lady.' I'm 31 - but whatever. I'll just start calling him by his first name someday - it will never be dad.
