In memory of those that passed(on your wedding day) not on the actual day..but im saying what is a good way to have them still there even though they're not?
My father isnt alive, so my mom told me to put a picture of him in the church. But I think thats too sad and I dont know if people would feel comfortable with it.
I also lost a very close friend of mine and I was thinking of dedicating a song to him. Nothing sad because he wouldnt want that, but something more upbeat. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really want to remember my friend AND my dad on my wedding day.

I like the idea of the locket. Im going to do some research on this. There HAS to be something out there that we can remember them by incorporating their memory and happiness together.

well he was into rage, korn, beastie boys, staind etc. Theres NO way im playing staind for him-too sad. Theyre so depressing to listen to.
He made his own music. Maybe I could play one of his songs...I dunno. Im stumped.

By the way, Im sorry about your dad being sick. I dont know what to say. Honestly, Im bad at things like this and I dont like to make people feel uncomfortable either. I dont know how it feels knowing that they might go. My dad died instantly..

My father has passed on as well. I am going to put a small hanging frame on my bouquet, putting him and all that have passed on one page of my programs, dedicating a song to my father during RH hours. And possibly doing tv themes that my dad loved for the walking in of the bridal ceremony. Oh and a mailbox for my card box since my dad was a mailman. Possibly more...

Yes I wish he was here....my son will be the one to walk me down the isle though I was actually getting upset today at work when I was talking with my assistants about it, he has been gone for 14 yrs now,,,,, it affects me know matter how long it has been. Thats a reason why I am trying to do as much as I can to put him in my wedding memories. I am even trying to look at RHs with his name in it...Stuart Miller, 3 places, lol.

It definately is great to spend time with him. Spend as much time with him as possible-honestly.
I didnt get to do that with my father. It was so bad because I was in highschool and I was 16 didnt want to be bothered, thought i was an adult etc. and I wish I would have known because I wouldve spent more time with him.

VERY TRUE!!!!! I was 18 and going through things and at the sametime pushed it away because of being hurt and scared.
