What do you do to keep yourself busy when you fly?
I've got my journal, music, a book that I'm really excited to read (Love in the Time of Cholera) and sudoku. And DH. Should be enough to distract me from being on a plane!

I just read and watch the movie and the shows they have on. I can't sleep on a plane.

Book, Ipod, and a magazine I normally don't read on a regular basis (tabloids, etc).

I usually bring food, a book (or two in case one proves too boring), a walkman with a few cds and cosmo! For long flights I will attempt to sleep - but my attempts usually prove futile

I hate to fly.
I buy every celeb gossip rag there is, and of course my Cosmo.
I have a book of crossword puzzles
My music
if it's a long trip (those seem to be the only kind we take!) We have a portable DVD player.
If I'm feeling particularly anxious about flying that day, I take one of my anti-anxiety pills and it will usually knock me out until we land at our destination.

OMG --- you are going to love Greece!!! I was there for a wedding in September 2004. But -- like you said --- the flight is long! If you fly in during the daylight hours and the sky is clear, you can look out the window and see Italy -- you can actually see the outline of the country. It is sooooo beautiful!!!!!!

I try to make my best attempts to read. I end up dozing, reading, watching what's on the screen. That's why I love Jet Blue --- Direct TV!!!!!!!

I really can't wait, I'm just so bad on airplanes! Hopefully, I can find things to keep me busy. DH is perfectly fine on long flights, it drives me insane.

Re: What do you do to keep yourself busy when you fly?
i drink and watch tv shows that i have on my laptop. when the battery runs out then i go to the movies the airline offers. although my last flight back from sydney i didnt watch them, b/c on the way to sydney i watched sideways like 4 times.
if i get away with bringing knitting needles on the plane i start on a new pair of socks. i also listen to music and read celeb gossip magazines. i never get much sleep on an airplane.

word games (crossword puzzles, hidden words, etc..), magazines, ipod, headset (for movie... otherwise some airlines charge you, etc). Food for domestic flight (not servicing food).
