Just curious, as my sister has never been a Matron of Honor before (or Maid) and does not live local to me.
What do you expect their role to be for your big day? Do they pay for your shower with your BM's? Do they always dress shop with you and learn how to bustle your dress?

My MOH is my sis...im sure she will come with me for my dress and help with the shower in some way but im not expecting much else lol! i just want her by my side to have fun

I read this post mid day today and cracked up bc I have the worst MOH ever. Seriously ridiculous. She can't even be supportive or happy for me. I gotta figure out what im gonna do...

honestly, i just want her to be there for me---she always has been so i dont think that should be a problem....anything else she wants to help out like bridal shower etc...is her choice. I know that the wedding is alot of $ not only for us but people in the bparty. at the end of the day, they can contribute whatever they feel from their heart without any obligation. i want them to do it b/c they want to--not b/c they have to.....

I'm actually worried about this. My MOH is my cousin and she is like 16 years older than me but we are practically sisters. She keeps worrying that she doesn't know what to do because she hasn't been in a wedding in awhile. I'm not worried about that bc my bridesmaids are professionals
I am worried that she isn't very detail oriented. I don't really expect her to come to things with me or anythign because she has 4 kids...but it would be nice to have someone come to listen in case I miss something.
My mom died when I was little so I'm hoping she will help out a little more so my girls don't have to pay SOOO much. I also hope she gets her butt to my house on time for everything
