I used to leave dry food out all the time, and give them wet food in the morning and at night. But they threw up way too often!
I now only leave dry food out all the time. I bought a new brand. Purina One for indoor cats. I usually just fill up their bowl, but I don't regulate how much they are eating. To me it doesn't seem like they are eating enough. So........this morning, I read that they should get 1/2-3/4 cup each cat each day. So I put that out this morning, and I will see how much they eat.
Do you think I should go back to feeding them wet food also??????

I used to feed my cats wet food but like yours they threw up a lot so we went strickly to dry food. We also used to just fill up there bowls but then they got too fat so now I measure out there food and they seem ok with that.

The refuse to eat anything but Meow Mix
I just leave their bowls out during the day for them to nibble at.

i was giving them wet in the moring, but the older one was throwing up, and there's no way to put food out and keep him from eating it, so they're on dry food now only. I fill up two bowls and leave them out through the day.

i used to leave purina kitten chow out all the time.. and then layla got really fat so when i moved her over to adult food i got the indoor cat stuff. now i give her a mix of the purina indoor cat and the purina special care advanced weight management cause i still think she needs to lose weight.
altho when she finishes her bowl and starts crying i always feel bad.. so who knows.

i forgot to say that she only gets wet food on 'special occasions'
and that means when shes been extra good or i forgot to buy dry food and ran out without realizing.. thats why i always keep a good stock pile of cans around lol

Baja gets dry food at night, a little less than a small bowl full. We feed him 90% Nutro Max lite for adult cats and then about 10% of an 'unhealthy' food like whiskas. About once a week he gets wet food, but only 1/2 a packet a time.

I feed Mushy Purina for Indoor Cats, also. I just fill the bowl each morning, and she usually meows in my face the next morning to tell me she wants more.

I feed my cat about a 1/2 cup (she never eats the whole thing) of dry Iams Weight Control (good for indoor cats, who tend to get fat) in the morning, and half a can of wet food at dinnertime. She always has some left over.

I do something similar. 1/2 of Hills prescription dry for both in the morning and a pouch of friskies each at night. They are big cats (not fat really) but they rarely eat it all.
