I went into the bridal salon today to try on my dress so I could start figuring out what bra and slip and shoes to get. While I was in there the saleswomen said to me, 'The seamstress is here and you need to get your first fitting within the next few weeks, why don't you just do it now' I thought about it and did it! (They think my wedding is 3 weeks before it is) Anyway I called my mom very excited to share the news, and she FREAKED out that I did it without her. Was I wrong to do it?

I don't think so. It is a fitting, it is not like ordering a dress without her! I think as long as she is there with you for your final fitting then all is fine. Just remind her that you did not plan it this way, it just happened and assure her you will include her on your next fitting. If that doesn't work, smack her around and tell her to lighten up! (just kidding!)

Re: What do you girls think?
Sounds like my mom!! One of my BM made a fitting for her BM dress the same day as my first fitting and my mom FREAKED. She was so upset..she said it's a mother daughter thing to do. So I had to call my BM and ask her to switch her appt...but it was easier to make my mom happy.

hotel, that is what my mom said! She said that I made her miss out on a mother/daughter thing that she has been looking forward to. She really made me feel really bad!

Re: What do you girls think?
I would like to include my mom in a lot but she lives hundreds of miles away, so I can't..she is also a procrastaneter (sp?) so if I wait for her it could put me majorly off schedule!
