FH is a BIG movie buff (it's gets annoying since he quotes movies ALL the time!)
So.. since he loves movies I thought of incoporating it somehow into the wedding. What do you girls think about this idea.
- having his fav movies (only classics, nothing cheezy) as table #'s - using the THX sound (in the beginning of movies used to test the speakers) played RIGHT before the MC starts doing the grand entrances (prior to the entrance songs). - having a scene of a movie (either sleepless in seattle or when harry met sally) play in the beginning of our montage for a few minutes. -My DJ already does VJ'ing (video jockey) during the party where he shows songs mixed w/movies and tv shows on the plasma's).
thoughts? Is it overkill?
- Oh, and I think i'm replacing the current quote in my invitation to... 'I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible' (When harry met sally)

haha. yeah you can. I think they were all quoting some movie for a good 15 minutes one time.

not sure how do-able this is but i think it might look cool if a movie was projected onto the dance floor ... then again, it might look silly when people are dancing ...
i like your ideas though ...
my only comment is that some people might not understand the THX thing ... but that doesn't matter as long as your FH and you are happy

hmm.. I don't think that would work on the dance floor. I'm thinking that would require a projector which i'm not going to have. It's a good thought though.
If someone told me about the THX sound I wouldn't get it. But when I hear it I def know what they are talking about. Hopefully others wil feel the same.

Is When Harry Met Sally extra special to you both. I remember him saying something about it on her contest a few months ago.
btw I love that line and can always picture the exact scene when I hear it.

And you can write yoru names on it with the date etc

yeah. I think I had one when I was little. Not a Big one but a realistic size one. If you think about it let me know. I don't want to cross the line into making that my theme though.
