what do you guys think....

So I had recieved a quote from a few bag pipers but when I told my FMIL that, she said she knew someone that she could ask and let me know So i was like o thats great!!

Then she said they had the date open and everything, and I said how much would it cost? And she said to invite them to the wedding...

Okay they have NO idea who FH or I am, and I understand she thinks thats saving me money, buts it not, if they come thats $275 dollars when I found bag pipers for less expensive. And I dont know I think its weird I am cutting corners to not invite my friends who dont have real boyfriend or girlfriends they aren't allowed to hate dates, and things like that so that I can make it work and then here I am inviting two randoms, when it doesn't really save me money? You guys think I am being a brat? I am so thankful, it's just I am unsure of how to tell his mother that its really NOT saving me money if I invite them?

So instead of paying them cash, they want to be invited to the wedding?

Unless I *knew* them, even in a roundabout fashion, I would not invite them instead of paying them. And especially since you found pipers for less than the cost of their plates.
