Of Krispy Kreme donuts as favors? My mom gave me the idea today and I looked it up online and there were some cute pics. I want to do a donation instead of a traditional favor but I could have a fresh krispy kreme table instead of a vienesse (sp?) hour or candy buffet table at the end of the reception? What do you all think?

I'm doing a candy bar at the end of the reception because we are also giving a donation to breast cancer in honor of FH's mom..I think it's a nice little treat for our guests to take home

I saw some really cute pics of the donuts put into a plastic baggie with a custom made sticker on it. I am not totally sure what I am going to do along with the donation. I do not want to do candy because my wedding is right after halloween...ya know? wouldn't you be sick of looking at candy and not want to get some at a wedding right after the 'candy holiday'.??? The donuts were a cute idea....any other ideas for an edible favor?

A friend of mine told me that the BEST favor she ever got was two donoughts and a small bag of coffee - she used it as abreakfast for her and her hubby the next day and RAVES about it still.
Edible favors are the BEST and they dont go to waste!

I think any edible favor is a great favor!!! But if the only reason you aren't doing a candy buffet is because your wedding is right after Halloween I wouldn't let that stop you...candy is always fun and by then the Halloween candy is eaten anyway lol!!

I think that is a cute idea and you can find a nice way to dress them up.
I agree with you about the candy thing. We used to have tons of candy for weeks!! Although if they don´t have kids they may not have that much candy lying around.
As for other edible favors I´ve seen cupcakes, black n white cookies (made to look like tux n dress), pastries, chocolates, etc ive also seen drinkable such as wine, liquor, coffee, etc
but i agree that anything edible is good!!

me either. Plus you would probably have to keep them a couple days before the and theyll get stale unless thier willing to make them the day of. How about a cute lil box with your theme color m &m's? Just giving my opinion.

yea its not for everyone...but FH is from Ohio and its like country land out there and I thought the 'down home', more comfy feel of something like krispy kreme donuts would be a sweet ending. here is a pic of how cute they can look....its kind of sweet
oh well my cute pic won't upload....something along the lines of two in a box and it decorated and it looked very wedding....i don't know maybe i won't give anything and just give a larger donation....i could get them from the city the day before so they wouldn't be totally fresh...hmmmm even more to think about haha
