What do you ladies think about the light.....

Ok so you know the monogram light from your DJ that can be displayed on the dance floor? I'll try to attach a pic. My DJ told FH and I that he wouldn't recommend it for us bc we have the extra lights and stuff. He said it will just couteract with the lights that we are paying for. But then i was thinking what should we have more? FH used to DJ so he is really into the cool effects and lights but the said whatever I want to do. Any ideas????

Its called a gobo...and I agree with you're dj with all the special effects you cant really see the dance floor. Its one or the other for me. Unless you are just doing perimeter/ambiant lighting that stays still, in which case you can still see the gobo on the floor.

Is your DJ going to provide lightening for you as well as you get outside lighting else where??? That may be too much

i have lights also but i was interested in the monogrammed lights, hmmm ill have to ask about this

Yea our DJ would provide both if we wanted them!!! But he basically said one or the other!I like the monogram on the wall as well but our DJ said our Hall doesn't have a wall where nothing is there. But i am sooo confused!!!!!! Our room has a lot of lighting and branches on the ceiling so i am not sure if it is on the wall if it might just look too much you know!! I am still confused!!!

My best friend had the monogram and it looked really cool, but she had it on the wall behind the sweetheart table, that way you could see it even when the dance floor was crowded...I guess, depending on your venue, that could be an option too... She got married at the Floral Terrace, and with the domed ceiling, it was perfect...

i think if the monogram was on the wall of course it wouldnt show well with the other lights but i dont see why it wouldnt show if it was on the floor. im having the perimeter lighting but not the monogram so i dont really know.

...when its on the floor tts hard to see with the lights flashing and smoke etc..now on a plain wall it sounds like it'll work.
