What do you remember about the FIRST wedding you ever attended?

Original post by bluegreen08

I've only been to one wedding (I'm the oldest family member and the first of my friends) It was my dad's business partner's daughter's wedding, and I think I was about 12.

I remember....
- the was about 6'11 and the 5'0!!!
- I asked the band to play 'one week' by BNL because I wanted to see if they were good enough to do it and they played 'if i had a million dollars' instead

that is it!

The first wedding I ever attended was my first grade teacher's. She had our entire class sing the Corinthians Love Song (you know, Love is patient, love is kind, slow to anger...etc.) It was so cute! I was so excited and I remember she looked really pretty that day.

I think I was around 7...I was the flower girl...I cried my eyes out during the entire ceremony.

It was my aunt's first wedding ( ) and I was like 4 or 5. I (FG) had on a blue polyester dress with pink flowers and the BM's had pink polyester dresses with blue flowers. My grandpa posed for a pic in his ivory tux with brown velvet lapels with his pockets pulled out. I didn't get it at the time, but now I know what he meant by showing his empty pockets.

The horrible peach FG dress I wore when I was 8! Another experience when I was just as young- I caught the bouquet and was so upset that the guy had to put the garter on me. I think I'm scarred!

As horrible as this is....I remember the chicken dance. I was about 12. My dancing aunt elbowed me in my chest as she 'flapped her wings' and I was in pain for days afterwards...I hated that wedding.

I was like 8 or 9 and it was my dad's cousin's wedding. I don't remember much but their song was love and marriage and I remember thinking that it was weird that they used the theme song from Married with Children. I had never heard the song before.
