What do you remember about the FIRST wedding you ever attended?

I've only been to one wedding (I'm the oldest family member and the first of my friends) It was my dad's business partner's daughter's wedding, and I think I was about 12.

I remember....
- the was about 6'11 and the 5'0!!!
- I asked the band to play 'one week' by BNL because I wanted to see if they were good enough to do it and they played 'if i had a million dollars' instead

that is it!

I was about 15, and it was my boyfriends cousin, my bf was pissing me off that he wouldn't dance with me, and me and his brother got drunk off applenmartinis and were dancing the entire night

I was the flowergirl...I remembered the first dance song...and that the bridal party was sitting high up above everyone else...

i was 4 years old, my sister was just born and this was the wedding of my fathers sisters.... i remeber that i was playing cat and mouse with one of my uncles....and since this day i call him uncle CAT... and he and his wife call me their little mouse... its so cute....ohh it was one of the best weddings that i been too... i had so much fun as far i remember.... in POland we have wedding till like 6am...its great...

I was 19 or 20 and it was my friend's sister's wedding. The ceremony was nice but at the reception I was bored out of my mind because I didn't know anyone there. My friend was there of course but she was in the bridal party and was going around catching up w/ family members, etc. I didn't have a date and I couldn't wait to go home!

I was probably about 5 or 6 and my Grandparents took me to a cousin's wedding. Chicken Cordon Bleu and Shirley Temples That's what I distinctly remember.

The first wedding I remember attending I was 18 years old. It was for close family friends. I remember the bride had a look of absolute TERROR as she walked down the aisle and I thought that was strange. I remember the reception was at Leonards, I had fun. They had a Viennese hour with fireworks, I'd never seen so many desserts before & I was so impressed!

I remember I was a flower girl in my cousins wedding at Carlyle on the Green. I remember dancing by myself and i remember their wedding song was 'more than words'

they were divorced like 6 months later lol

i was 4 or 5 and the flower girl in my aunt's wedding...i remember telling my cousin (the rb) how we had to link arms with my other cousin (another fg) and then just dancing with them in a circle at the reception

i was about 12-13 and i wore the most hideous dress.
then again, it was like 1989, and the bride (my uncle's wife) wore a miniskirt dress with a detachable train.

it was in NYC somewhere--a round ballroom, possibly the top level of a hotel? i remember hearing the adults saying that it was more expensive than they could afford.
there was a pool table downstairs and my cousins and i were allowed to go down and play pool for a while.

my dad was the best man and it was a long dais, and we all got to sit up there with the bridal party.

it was the first time i tasted GOOD fried calamari. lol. leave it to me to remember the food, 19 years later!

it was a sunday and my parents let my bro and i stay home from school the next day (a HUGE treat from my teacher-parents!)

my FH is from Argentina and they are used to weddings that last all night. no one leaves till the sun comes up!

I actually remember something from the reception...the floors were shiny!

And, since I'm having my own wedding at Leonard's one of the first things that caught my eye when they showed us the room it'll be in...the floor is shiny!!

i was a flower girl at my cousin laura's wedding when i was 6. hmmm...all i really remember is that my dad kept getting me shirly temples w extra cherries at the reception and i was so happy about it!

It was at Russo's In HB, I had a black velor dress on(fancy right/), There was a stuffed roasted pig with an apple in mouth my cousin was crying over it and the DJ was so drunk he was calling my aunt and uncle by the wrong names and break dancing.

I was about 10 or 11 years old and it was a very Orthodox Jewish wedding that the ceremony alone lasted 3 hours! I was like 'are they almost done'

I don't recall where it was but I remember the bride was very beautiful and I caught the bouquet!

Also I recall the food stunk

it was my aunts wedding and i was so young...my sister and i were her Jr. BM's and I remember my sister stepping on the train of her dress as we were walking out of the ceremony...it is also captured forever on her video...it stands out to me i guess b/c i was young and thought it was funny
