when you get a monetary gift at thje shower??!?? my shower is tomorrow and i dont know what im gonna do, i happen to know of people who will be giving monetary gifts and i dont know what your supposed to do in that situation when your opening gifts? any ideas ladies? i need your help!! TIA
Maybe you can open the card and say who it is from and that they are generously helping you pay for the HM?? Sorry, never seen it happen at any of the showers I have been to personally. Just graciously thank them so they know their gift is appreciated. JMO Have fun at your shower!!

at my E-party we let people know we were only opening the boxed gift and would open all the cards when we got home and thanked everyone right there in advace.......maybe do that? so noone feels weird if someone give more than the other?
oh forgot to say 'DONT SAY HOW MUCH ITS FOR' hahahahahaha i know with those who gave us monetary gifts theres competition. So just said monetary gift from aunt suzan for example lol and then turn to her and say thank you so much for your generous gift. If you want to add a little something then maybe say this will come in handy in starting our new lives but you dont have to

i had the same problem, i knew ahead of time a bunch of fh's family was going to give us monetary gifts and i asked the same thing on LIW. Just open the card and say thank you to the person, oh right before i said thank you i think i said monetary gift from so and so, sh*t i forgot what i said hahahaha
I'd just send a thank you, saying thanks for the generous gift, and we will definitely put it to good use. Something like that, maybe mention what you are going to do with it; ie: this will definitely help towards our house fund or whatever
Simply say thank you your generous gift.
