Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK
I think it's fine, but it seems weird to tip the ceremony musicians $50 and your DJ who is working for four hours only $40.

I agree.. everything sounds great but maybe $75 for the dj?

WEll, I also can't see tipping the people doing hair and make-up the same amount of money as your DJ. I think it also depends on how much you are spending on all of these services. Like, 40 bucks would be 20% tip for the DJ if they cost 200 bucks. I don't know, I will probably just do 20% for everyone unless they suck or did a really good job.

Call me naive, but are you really supposed to tip the photographer? I had no idea and wouldn't have tipped her had I not read this. My photographer works out of her home as a side job...do I still tip. Is it 20%?
ETA: I actually just looked it up in my wedding planning guide and it said you only tip photographers 1-15% for 'extra special services.'

See now, my photographer is freelance as well, and so I will probably tip her, but maybe 100 bucks. Just a courtesy.
