I've been thinking about switching GYNs because I haven't really cared for my doctor for awhile, but my doc has really convenient hours for me. I need to make an appointment to refill my BC so I google search my docs name for the office number and I come across a malpractice suit from 1998. The lawsuit was against the hospital, but my docs name is one of the parties involved. Makes me kind of nervous!
The suit was against the hospital, not the dr. I wouldnt worry about it.
switch anyway if you're not crazy about her/him. i love my gyn - she's in the city if you want info.
well, it wasn't a direct lawsuit towards him. If you are nervous search a new GYN. There are so many out there and most DR's offices have convenient hours now.
I have one that is terrific and she has late hours a few nights a week. let me know if you want her name/number! she's in bethpage on hempstead tpke.

IF YOU DONT like your gyno go to another one. It will annoy you each time you go if you stay. I seriously used to change gyno's constantly. If i went once or twice and they annoyed me i would never go back.
I FINALLY found one I LOOOOVE, she is so great and nice. Problem is that her office is a zoo and you can be in there waiting forever. I put up with it bc it took me YEARS to find one i like and dont want to leave her but the office is starting to really bother me. Plus the receptionists there are the WORST!!!! i know ppl who left simply bc of them. I also blame them for it being over packed. ANytime you call they dont have appointments for weeks or months but everytime i go its over packed, they take way too many ppl in a day i think.

That sounds just like my dr's office. I'm there sometimes for hours at a time but it's worth having a gyno you're comfy with
