i see Jenn's point - she didn't invite this other person and now she is coming as somebody else's guest!! that is kind of awkward i'm surprised your GF would bring somebody that you know, especially since they WEREN'T invited to begin with!!

EVEN THOUGH I KNOW THE PERSON SHE IS BRINGING BETTER THAN SHE DOES AND I DIDN'T INVITE THIS PERSON?????????

I invited a very good friend of mine with her husband (they don't have a great relationship)...mrs & mrs. ...well she is coming and sent the response back Mrs. Kathy...and guest...she is bringing her cousin!

That would bother me, too, Jenn. Plus, I see Lauren's point about being prepared for whatever 'guest' comes when you put that on the invite, but I have always thought it was strange when a female brings a female guest unless, that is her 'date' in the true meaning of the word.

I am starting to have all sorts of people give me grief over whether or not they can bring a guest. One of our friends told us he WILL NOT come if we don't invite his with a date

Can I just tell you, on your wedding day you will notice, no one. You will be on cloud 9. If she brings homey the clown you will not even care. She chose not to come alone and you did extend the invite to her and guest so she is bringing a guest.
