a five hour reception? We are considering adding an additional hour (it will cost about 1300 including the DJ for an extra hour). Our cocktail hour begins at 6:30 and, as of right now, our reception is scheduled to end at 11:30. Our reception is on a Saturday night, in fact the Saturday night before daylight savings time begins....so everyone could sleep an extra hour Sunday morning!!! What do you guys think?

i wish i could add another hour. it is so expensive. well continue back at the hotel. they have a piano bar....

I am contemplating doing the same thing. But I don't know if poeople will stay the extra hour. I think it sounds great though.

Thats the one thing I wish I could have done... Our day did FLY and I really wish I could have had more time to party with my friends and family!! I say GO FOR IT!

Ready for this??? I had an 8 hour reception....
We got married abroad and everyone stayed till the very end!!!
My ceremony was at 5:30pm, Cocktail at 6:00pm (all at the same Villa) and the party didn't end until 2am!!!! Apparently that's normal in Italy....
Just incase people wanted to leave early we hired 2 buses, one at 12 (midnight) and one at 2am....to take people back to their hotels. Well, no one left on the midnight bus and we had to scramble to get another bus to the villa at 2am!!!
GO FOR THE EXTRA HOUR!!!!!!!!!

I was going to add an extra hour since our wedding was on new years eve and the reception ended at 12:30 but people started leaving after 12. Plus alot of people left before 12. But its up to you, you should be able to let them know the night of your wedding.
