Yeah, actually we do have 2 oot guests that are in the BP, so I'm stressin a little bit about this.

Since your wedding is on a Friday night, it might not be practical to do your RD the night before. You have to do what works logistically as good as possible for everyone involved.

If you want to have a nice, welcoming dinner where all your parents get to interact and they are available the week before, then it sounds like that will work best for you. If the OOTers can't come, you can do a less formal rehearsal brunch on the day of your wedding, or a very casual rehearsal the night before to make sure they know where to go and when.

The bottom line is that if it works for you and FH, that's what you have to work around. Just make sure your OOT BP people don't feel obligated to come in a whole week in advance just for the RD if it's going to be a super-huge expense to them.

Sounds like you've got things under control!

I don't think it's reasonable to ask OOTers to come in twice in 2 weeks. Since they will already be in town the night before, why can't you just have your RD the night before the wedding?

A casual rehearsal/dinner for the OOT's is a great idea, and I was thinking about this for them. That way they don't have to come twice, in a short period of time or stress about coming earlier than they have to. Thanks for the suggestions hun!

Re: What do you think about having...

Our whole bridal party is OOT, but it's just not possible for us to have the RD the night before. So we are having one with FH, me, my dad, pastor, MOH (my sis who will be in town) 2 days before.

Then we are doing a mini, quick rehearsal with everyone the night before. We figure the rehearsal is mostly for FH and I to prepare us and such and the bridal party just needs to know when to walk in and hand over the rings. :)

The church is booked with several Rehearsal's for that week and it just won't work out. I definitly wasn't considering asking the OOT's in my BP to come a week early! That def not reasonable. So, now I'll just call the church to see if we can arrange a quick and simple rehearsal for them whenever they get in town.

I think it is fine- this kind of stuff happens in weddings- it is always impossible to get everyone together!

This sounds perfect, I'm going to have to do something like this also. Thanks for the suggestions ladies

I think that's fine, my plan is to do ours exactly 1 week prior to the wedding, IF the woman who I coordinate this with ever decides to return my call lol.

i think it shoudl be fine too but - not to be a buzz kill, just remember that people have to remember what they have to do... of course it isn't brain surgery, but i know with my sisters we did the RD two weeks before the wedding b/c of timing and i forgot when i was supposed to stand! HAHA!

Oh, so you can't have your rehearsal the night before, but you can still have a rehearsal dinner the night before. Just something nice to welcome everyone to town, thank them for coming, etc.

I think that's fine! It gives you time in between the 2 events.

I don't think many people do it the night before anymore. I certainly aren't planning on doing that.

Re: What do you think about having...

not to worry you, but I know someone who did hers the week before (her wedding was on a friday, she had the rehearsal the friday before) and the day of the wedding everyone (especially the guys) completely forgot what they were supposed to be doing... everyone was laughing/giggling out of nerves and it was pretty unorganized. Could depend on the group though.

Maybe you could do you and FH and parents or something the week before and do a quick run-through the night before?

Haha...I totally know what you mean. I asked my FH 'you think everyone will remember what to do a week later?' lol. He says yes. Our priest said with all the weddings he's done, almost everyone is always so nevous so it doesn't matter when you do the rehearsal. lol
