What do you think about mixing different design styles in your home?
I was just thinking about this before. My living room is very modern and my upstairs bathroom is french country with toile accents. Do you think a house should be consistant all the way through with how it is decorated? What is your opinion? I just like so many things!

I think you should follow your own taste and what you like. I think that mixing different elements within a room can be tricky and has the potential to be a mess, but when each room has its own distinct style I think that could be lovely.

i agree with everything!!! i like the idea of each room having its own personality... and then you get to sample different tastes

Im so boring! Every room in my apt. matches!! the same colors run through every room ( except our son's room)

I think it's a great idea! What did you have in mind ... Like going from Victorian to Modern to Colonial to Minimalist or something a little bit more subduded?

I am trying to do my whole house french county-antique. It will take some time. But my den is modern.
Question, where did you get your toile accents for your bathroom?

Thanks for the links. I LOVE toile!!!
Yeah I want to decorate each room in a different style. I love so many. The bathroom looks great with all the blue toile stuff. I have light blue walls and blue toile shower curtain, matching rug and a little fabric box over the toilet.
