I really would like to go to see if fiance's father 'came through' It would be interesting to be there, but boring if no one came through to 'talk' to you...you just have to sit and listen to everyone else!!![]()

I don't know about John Edward's but I went to a reading with Jeffrey Wands a few years ago. He is a medium as well and used to have a show on the radio. I went to see him in Port Washington. To be honest, I thought he was pretty good and I am a diehard skeptic!!! I have heard so many mixed things about these people that I honestly do not know what to think anymore. Many feel that they are so good at pulling off this continued scam; that they ask too many leading questions.... You should always have an open mind if you really want to invest time and energy into this type thing. Peoples experiences differ. Some go home happy and others may feel ripped off!! Every person's experience can be absolutely different!! Before committing to a show, I would suggest a one-on-one reading.

My horseback riding instructor took dance lessons from John Edward. He used to teach at the Arthur Murray in Huntington.
She said she never really believed in that kind of stuff and actually thought John would be a moron because of his job, but he made a believer out of her. They were dancing one day and he said something that her late mother said about her that only her mother would know. From there on in, she was a believer.

A friend of the family went hoping to get a reading from their son who passed away in a car accident. He came through and there were crazy things that John Edwards mentioned. He asked, 'Whos obsessed with Devil Dogs?' and that was the father's favorite junk food. Thats just too much to be coincodential, but at the same time I just don't know how it could be possible. There were other things too, but the Devil Dog thing defiitely stands out. My mom would like to go to see if my brother's girlfriend would come through, but I know my brother wouldn't be cool with it.

sorry I don't believe in these guys...at all...
haven't you guys seen the behind the scene exposes on him...and how vague they are...if you make generalizations to a group of people - someone will be able to make a connection...![]()

I don't believe any of these people...especially John Edwards.
A friend of mine went to a taping of one of his shows and he said they keep
the audience there for like an hour before with cameras coming down
from the ceiling recording everything you say.

I know its 'fun' to beleive and we all WANT to beleive that someone we miss so much is 'coming through' but I just dont beleive in this stuff...

I usually dont believe in this stuff! But a friend when to the JE show and got contacted by her daughter who had died of Lukemia. The things that were said by JE to her were things he couldnt have known unless he knew the family well! They were things I didnt even know and I have known this family my whole life!!!

Our Best Lady's sister works for JE in production. Last summer our BL's FIL died, and a few months later he 'came through' and they called her at home and had her and her husband come down to the show. They weren't even in the studio, just her sister was -working backstage - and apparently the details were too accurate to be coincidental. I'm still waiting to see the show air. I didn't believe in it at all before but now I'm on the fence...

I don't know anything about JE really, except what I have seen from his show. I had a private reading with George Anderson and it was incredible. JMO but there is no comparison, George Anderson is the REAL THING.

I believe these guys have a gift. Sure, they market it- but I truly believe they can communicate with the 'other side'
My mom's cousin's wife went to a medium in Oct. and apparently, my father came thru and told her that I was pregnant. I didn't even know then! She only found out from me in Dec. and she told me she knew it but was waiting to confirm. That made me a true believer in communicating with the other side. My mother had gone to the same medium a few years ago hoping to call my dad, but she didn't get anything. I don't think they come through unless they have something to say.
Plus, I have had spooky ghost experiences so I believe in the whole thing.
JMO though, my husband thinks it is all coincidence and my mind playing tricks on me. Oh well. I know what I experienced.

My mom had a reading from him way before he was famous and he knew a lot of stuff about her family that nobody knew. She believes in it, I'm still not so sure but mom was shocked by what he had to say!!

I'm open minded. I'm not 100% convinced, but I'm also not 100% sure it's fake. I'd like to experience it for myself, so I would be able to form a better opinion. After all, who I am to say what's real or not if I have nothing personal to base it on?

You should not meddle with these things.
The general idea is the dead loved ones would want us to live our lives fully and enjoy them. Not dwell on those who have passed.
Real or not, these people who talk to the dead, supposedly, bother me. What right do they have (if real) to torment those at rest (if possible).
This idea also completely messes with my sense of an afterlife. I hope when I die I am at rest and not some sorta of 'misty area' waiting around for some grief strucken niece/nephew/godson/daughter, whatever to find me and drag me out for answers. Im dead, beyond pain and suffering and (hopefully) at peace.. let me be! I'd have NOTHING to say cause I'd regret nothing and feel no emotional need to be pulled back to the living (unless you believe in ghosts which is then just wicked and sad for those souls left to be tormented).
For those who believe then.. I know it may bring 'closure' to certian things, but it's never a 100% sure hit. He/she/They may not be able to 'connect' with your family at all or your family may have nothing to say. That would be a let down, bigtime. If he/she/they did connect then all I've seen so far is tears. Just seems so cruel to me. Even tears of understanding and confirmation still means dragging up painful memories.

ETA: I believe in Ghosts and tormented souls as well as guardians and soul watchers (heck Im mostly American Indian kinda hard not to). My grandmother and I would read Tarot for people but we always knew.. LIfe is unpredictble and outside our control, probability of events is predictible but only in a general sense.. we were right more often than wrong, but still we were wrong on occasion or misread what was there. It's all relative. Ghosts and Guardians make life interesting in my opinion. I've experienced werid stuff but I feel that's in a different realm from speaking with the other side.. this was more like the otherside FORCING themselves onto our side.

My friend (one of our GM's) tells me that John Edwards used to work for his mother (she is head of pathology at st francis) he was I think my friend said a lab tech, and that he was a nice guy but none of them were sure whether he could actually do real readings or not.
