OK so my wedding is at Land's End - with the ceremony at the gazebo next to the beach. I was thinking of skipping the veil and going with silk flowers in my hair instead like these http://store.latebloomerboutique.com/flowerclips.html (either white or in a color to match my bouquet).
Do you think this wouldn't look bridey enough? I keep going back and forth about the veil.....

I love this idea!!! I'm actually doing the same thing! I tried on a veil and felt like a drag queen for some reason! I don't think you should worry about not looking 'bridey' enough!, you ARE the bride! So don't worry, do what you want and what makes you feel beautiful!

I think it is a good idea, especially if it is windy on your day.... flowers wont blow and tangle

Thanks! I'm glad someone else feels the same as me. I seriously was feeling weird that I didnt want to wear a veil like I am 'supposed' to! Do you know where are you getting your flower(s)? Are you doing one big one or two+ smaller ones? So many decisions!

To be honest with you I have NO CLUE where to get anything! I have alot of ideas but no direction for some reason. I was thinking of wearing a few (2-3)small to medium sized flowers, I have alot of hair and I plan on wearing it half up half down with the flowers scattered. I added a pic.
But maybe you can look for flowers at a craft store, or even from your florist! Hope that helps!
