I am doing a red/gold theme, my flowers are magic red roses. For my place cards I was thinking about doing these little candles as place card with rose petals next to them, I wanted a little board where people write messages to the Bride and groom the myth of where the story of the rose came fromIt has been cited that Chloris -- the Greek Goddess of Flowers -- created the rose out of a lifeless nymph. In the creation, Chloris called upon Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, to bless the nymph with beauty; Dionysus, the God of Wine, to give her a sweet scent; and the three Graces to bestow charm, brightness, and joy upon her. Then Zephyr, the West Wind, blew away clouds so that Apollo, the Sun God, could make the flower bloom. Voila! A rose and symbol of beauty was born. What do you guys think, I will reword it, but explain the story. I am also greek so I think the family might like it. Honest opinions please. My CP are back to back roses
I think that is a very unique idea, and the candles are beautiful!

That's such a great idea!!!!!! So unique!! I love greek mythology though so I'm a little biased, but I think your guests would really love that - plus it will make for good CH talk!!!
