My friend is a mother of 2 ans she is addicted to LIF (Long Island Families) Anyway someone asked if people kissed their children on the lips, and she said that some people were soooo against this. I found it wierd, my mom always would kiss me on my lips when I was little, I kiss my little cousins on the lips all the time. I know it is different when you get older. But what do you guys think? I never thought anyone would think that was wierd. I guess me and my friens were wrong.

I guess its one of those things that every one has their own experiences with and it kinda comes down to what your parents felt was right and most likely we follow what we learn

i don't and never have kissed any of my family members on the mouth. i think it's weird.
I am not talking about aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I am talking about moms or dads and their children.

Re: What do you think about this
I'm always humbled when I see little kids kiss eachother mind you not makeout kisses, but just in affection. I'm for kissing, but think my parents taught me right from wrong with the kissing thing when i was little, so I don't think it's gross to show affection to family members...
People need to give more credit to little kids and not just assume they are gonna go around kissing strangers if they allow kissing them at home....

but of course when i have kids my opinion could completely change, i have no idea...i just didn't grow up kissing my parents or my brother on the lips so maybe that's why it seems weird to me.

Re: What do you think about this
I have seen parents do it with their children. My family is very affectionate and we always kiss eachother on the cheek whenever we see eachother. I was kind of weirded out when I attended a friends wedding 2 summers ago and she was dancing with her dad and they were kissing eachother on the lips. Strange...I had never seen that kind of exchange between a parent and his grown child. I grew up being told to only kiss people on the cheek.
