that sounds awesome!!!!! how are you going to keep this from brian??!!?!

It will be tough but I know I can do it. The look on his face when they come into the reception will be worth it! I am not even telling Mom or Dad. Only me and the planner will know!

I am also gonna have them at our wedding. I just am not sure where I am gonna have them play. Where do you think? During cocktail hour, after dinner, during dinner or anyother suggestions. Thank

I am going to have them come in after dinner as surprise guests. I wouldn't have them during cocktail hour. People would stop what they were doing and watch them. They should be eating all the yummy food during cocktail hour!

Re: What do you think - Bagpipers at reception?

FH is half Irish. Actually has family coming from Ireland for the wedding. So we're excited. Nobody knows but us, nobody, not even our parents. Also having a harp at the church which only FH's parents know about. I've been to a wedding where they had one piper outside the church and it was just beautiful. Mkae sure you get pics with them/him/her. I've been to one other where they had 4 pipers, a snare and a bass drum that rocked the crowd - everyone circled around, bride and groom danced to the best of their ability, they put their hat on the groom - great touch and different than the norm. We're having 2 pipers and a snare come in. You have to get a good group though if you want up tempo music to get people going. Danny Boy is going to sound funeralish IMO. Our group said unless we have specific songs they are going to play Irish jigs that will just get people going. My only decision is before or after dinner???
