What do you think? BM Dress and cape

What do you ladies think of this combo?

ETA: I should clarify - they wouldn't be wearing them for the church or pics, but want to get them something since it will be November.

i like both pieces separately, but i am not too crazy about them together. the dress, imo, is way too formal for the cape. the cape, while pretty, imo isn't fancy enough for a wedding...

Ok this might not make any sense but it's worth a try -

I agree the cape isnt fancy enough for the dress BUT that being said if its just for non-picture time (limo rides, outside patio, etc) then I like it. It looks like it's something you can use again. If you want something a little more formal maybe a Pasmina wrap?

I have been looking for fake pashminas but unfortunately since the season is almost over, i haven't been able to find, that is my top of the list, but am having trouble finding them

I like the dress alot - the sweater is also nice but I don't like them together.

i know excatly what dilemma you are having

im having the same one....i was also thinking pashminas in coordinating colors but its hard to find....i like that cape alot and they can use it after the wedding too!

I say go for it- especially since they wont be in pics together...and even if they are so what! Im thinnking abouit just putting on a little fake fur coat over my strapless gown in november

I agree that cape doesn't go with the dress. Here is an ebay seller who sells awesome faux pashminas. I have bought 10 or so for gifts and have about 10 different colors myself. They are so soft and the shipping takes less then a week. I can bring one to the next GTG if you want to see it in person.

I saw the most adorable fake pashminas at Conway this morning. They had beads too so they were very dressy.

ETA - I think they were $10.

My mom went to Little Italy and got one for my sister for the wedding for FIVE DOLLARS! I wish she had called cuz I would have had her pick them up for everyone!

In the picture, the white/ivory ones look like scarves... How do they work as more of a wrap or whatever? I like this idea too, again, another November bride!!

There is a guy in Union Sqaure that sells 5 dollar pashminas every day. He is right in fromt of DSW.
