My minimum is 190. I invited 212. I already got back 12 No's.
There is no way we are going to meet our minimum. I mean we might be like 30 people under. WE have a lot of people out of state that were on our list that I am almost positive won't come.
My fh is freaking. We are paying $120 pp and having a full viennesse hour.
What do you think they will do, could they lower my minimum or lower the price pp or add in extra stuff.
I can't imagine having to spend almost $4,000 for people who are not there.
I am scared to call my rh, I don't want them to tell me too bad.
What do you think?

there's very little chance they're going to lower your minimum...however, they should throw things in for you to make up for it.

I'm glad!!! The way it will end up - you're going to pay for those people who aren't there...there's no way around it...BUT the RH should hook you up and give you extras that you wanted, but couldn't swing before....

did you give them that # or did they give it too you, bc our hall told us there min is 100 people no if ands or buts
They gave us the #. The place holds like 500 people and there is only one wedding at a time there, so I see their point

You're at Floral Terrace and they're very nice about these things. My SIL had my nephew's baptism at the Sand Castle (which is owned by the same people who own Floral Terrace) and when my SIL didn't meet the minimum, they gave her more things. Maybe you can add more entres, more food at the CH, chocolate fountain at the vienese?

Def call adn explain why you are nervous and upset and see if they can tell you what they usually do for people in your situation.

No, We really invited everyone we want. I am not into inviting people I do not know. I know a lot of girls have their parents invite a lot of their friends and co workers, but that is not the people I want to share my day with.

they won't lower the price but some RH's will throw in a few extras if you don't meet your minimium. It's perfectly fine for you to call and see what they'll throw in if you're a few people short. You can even come up with a list before you call in case they ask what you had in mind.

Floral Terrace seemed to be REALLY, REALLY accomidating when I met with them..I'm sure they will work with you..
I was obsessed with pictures, and when I went there, he was saying they could freeze a picture of FH and I in the ice sculpture, put our picures on the Menu at each table, ..etc.. Maybe you can ask for these to be thrown in?

same here - im already inviting people on my parents side of the family that i barely know and havent seen in ages - im sure our parents could come up with tons of people to invite but i rather keep it to just people we KNOW i rather not have 'seat fillers' either

OMG! Babe, I feel you so much I am paying about 125 a head and already think I over estimated on my minimum...here's what I'm gonna do, when I go in to pay my next payment, I am going to have a heart to heart and ask to reduce by at least 10 ppl...I doubt they will because it's an official contract with the Hilton that they hold me to, but I am & wouldn't get over myself if I didn't give it a shot...good luck with your rh, I really suggest in person though calling may not show your emotion on over spending so much...that's me trying to pull some guilting puppy eyes

i have too many people to invite to the wedding! my vineyard has a MAXIMUM and i'm afraid i will go over.
can i just send some of my guests to your wedding instead?
