ok FH's family is having family from out of town so they are having a big bbq and invited my whole family to go! which was very nice. Since we are not leaving for our honeymoon the day after the wedding they want us to come ... would you be ok hanging out with your whole family the day after your wedding/the day before your honeymoon? how do you feel about this? would you just go and have fun (bc the truth is your going to be alone with FH for 12 days) or would you want to spend that day alone with FH? (since its the day after the wedding)
PS - FH is all for this he is a huge family man! which is cute (most of the time haha)

I think it would be nice and then also you don't have to worry at the wedding at all if you are giving family enough time! and it will be nice to bathe in the married glow around people who are so happy for you. . and also you can just stop in and leave and go pack!

I'd definitely be OK with it. That's what we're planning to do any way. We have so many people coming in from out of town, we want to spend some time with them.
We are getting married on a Saturday and leaving for our HM on Monday. Sunday my mom is hosting a brunch for us at her house. She knows FH and I won't be staying the entire time since we'll have stuff to do before the HM, but we do plan on visiting with everyone. I'm actually looking forward to that part.

yea you girls are right ... i think at first i was upset about it because i just had another thing in mind BUT in reality we will get to spend time with everyone before we go away anddddd i didnt even think that we get to spend time with family that we may not have time to hang out with during the wedding! thanks girls! ps - we are not going to stay all day! im sleeping in in the morning and leaving early to pack!!!

Yea, def okay with it--- that's our plan too. More of a relaxing atmosphere with the OOT family and guests that we may not get much time with on the wedding day.

I would sleep in and spend the early part of the afternoon alone then I would meet up with the family for the BBQ.
