This is pretty personal, but I wanted to get your opinions. I wanted to somehow mention my deceased father in my program and I decided to write a poem. Please tell me what you think... should I change it somehow?
FYI- 'Chris' is my brother and he'll be walking me down the aisle in place of my Father.
Today is the day when I become a wife, You may not be here physically, but your always in my life.
I can feel you smile down on me with happiness in your heart, Because you knew that I found true love from the very start.
I wish you could be here with me to walk me down the aisle, But Chris will be there with me as I wear a great big smile.
Thank you for the love you gave me when you were here with me, I'll always be Daddy's little girl, that I can gaurantee.
So as you have watched over me these past few years, now watch over us, I have a husband now and your blessing of our marriage would really be a plus.
I just want you to know that I miss you very much, But I am grateful for the memories that I will always clutch.
You're always in my heart, always and forever, I'm blessed to have you with me as I begin this new adventure.

That's such a beautiful poem!! It made me all teary eyed!! You couldn't have said it better, and it sounded so emotional you can tell it comes from the very bottom of your heart!! Def gotta include those cry packets!
Just one thing, I noticed the 1st 'your' should be 'you're' as in 'you are'. Sorry, part of my job is to proof read so I can't help stuff like that!

Beautiful Poem, just beautiful and touching.. I recently lost my dad the end of last year... It's a good idea to remember him this way... Very nice...

I think that it is perfect. My God I don't even know you and I was crying, so I am sure there wont be a dry eye in the house when they read this.
I am sure that your dad would have loved this and will be with you always.
