what do you think of this ...

we were thinking, since were running out of money FAST, to have our rehersal dinner in the backyard. is that stupid? we just want to hang out with our bridal party and give them a girl. (PS - my dad is from argentina and LOVES to bbq so when he bbqs its like going to one of those all you can eat meat places haha)

love it we are doing the same italian and bbq combined..... we had my shower here too so i think it will be fun!!!! very casual and cozy night b4 we have a lot of out of town guests so it wasnt an option to do dinner in a restaurant :(

that sounds like a great idea. everyone can be layed back, hang out and party and have a great timme!

I think that's absolutely fine. We might end up having it at FH's home with some trays brought in since it will be too cold to bbq, so nothing wrong with a party at home. You can relax and be a little looser than at a restaurant anyways.

I am having my shower in a backyard... I say go for it I think its a great way to save some cash. The only problem we are running into for our shower is having to rent out tables because we dont have enough.

I think that sounds like a great idea. Much more casual and fun for everyone before the big event. You should definitely go for it!

It's a GREAT idea and you should totally do it!!!!!!!!!!!!

We would do ours there if my parents got along better. Since they won't go to each others homes (or feel comfortable about being there) we can't do it.

I think you'll have a wonderful time, especially since your family enjoys bbq so much!

I think it's great. We will be having ours in FIL's backayrd. FIL's had been talking about selling their home, but they have actually put those ideas on hold because they knew FH and I wanted to have our RD in their backyard

We are doing the same thing. We are renting a tent and chairs and doing it in our backyard, I think it is the easiest way to save money and I would prefer to be home relaxing the night before my wedding than at a restaurant waiting for them to serve everyone their food.

I think it is a great idea!!!

This is what we are doing! We wanted to just be able to chill out and relax and have a good time, so we are having some heros, some barbeque, and some salads in the backyard. I even have custom t-shirts for my bridal party!

I think that's TOTALLY fine to have the party as a BBQ in the yard!! If I had a yard I'd sooo do that exact same thing!! it's still fun and if you can save money doing it... GO FOR IT!!!

I say go for it and you can add to the BBQ if you have a few things catered, you'll still be saving $$ and your dad won't have to cook everything.

I wanted to do this but my mom thought I was crazy for wanting to have about 50 people in the house 3 days before the wedding

Go for it!!! We were going to do this, until FH made FMIL realize that their backyard is way too small to accomodate 40 people. It can barely fit 10, yet alone 40!!!!
