as a bridesmaids dress? (the one on the left) I think I don't want a traditional dress-- but is this one just too much?

It's okay JMO - I am not sure how flattering it would be - it may not look good on all body types - if all the BMs are thin- then that isn't much of a problem - A little on the sexy side though!

I think it depends on what type of wedding you are having.
If you are having a night, formal affair then I don't think that dress is formal enough.
TO ME (and this doens't have to be your thoughts) - but I think it is a little too 'sexy' for a wedding. I don't know if you are getting married in a church or whatever, but I think it would be a little much for my taste.
