Maybe I'm just whacked because I haven't eaten all day, but those that know me, know I'm all about doing something different.
These are edible arrangements, fruit made to look like flower arrangements. Would this be a good idea? It comes out to almost the same price as floral CPs. But I figured these could do double duty, and be eaten, instead of something that will eventually die. Edible Arrangements
I have never seen that before! That's really interesting! Its a nice idea.. but I love flowers!

You know what I would love that for? A bridal shower. It's perfect because usually those are brunch, and fruit is so nice to have with brunch.

I just want to tell you that I loveee edible arrangements - and feel like they do an incredible job!!
Its a very cute and colorful idea - and if you like it - go for it!! I personally wouldnt do it - and dont know how long the fruit would be good until since on the tables it wont be refrigerated.
Also - think of pictures - will ppl eat them before your having pictures taken of the tables?

I received that for my birthday and I loved it........I had it in the office all day and then took it home and place it in the fridge.
The only bad part....guests will eat it during your reception and then its not going to look the same. JMO

They're very pretty, but I'm just imagining what would happen to those by the end of the night. They'll either be all eaten or the fruit will have been sitting out for 4-5 hours. Either way it won't look very nice by the end.

I was thinking maybe leaving a sign saying please don't eat until the night is almost over, maybe after 9pm (our reception ends at 10). That way most of the pics are out of the way!

I love edible arrangements and I think that your idea is very original but I think there's a lot of planning that would have to go into it . When would they be shipped out? Can JT hold/store them properly up until they need to be placed on the tables? Once on the tables, will they keep long enough for people to want to take them home?

I think its very original!!
And not to mention...most definitley not a waste of money....fruit is great to take home for your guests!!
Whats funny is I was thinking of these myself. My FMIL next door neighbors daughter(got that ) who also lives next door...owns one of those in Bensonhurst..or nearby. And her Edible arrangements van is always parked there so I had to ask her about it.
Its not traditional..but who cares..its very unique and functional!!!

We are doing that for our engagement party next month. I love it. I saw it first at the Oheka showcase, people were going nuts over it. The only thing is, I hear it doesn't hold much fruit.

eta: i think it should be used as something on a main table - not so much on every single table - perhaps on a buffet table CP, or Dessert Table CP...
