Try to visualize.....I am planning on using tri-fold heavy paper and have the program written on the inside three panels. Then when you close the sides in have our names date on the outer panel. I was then going to put a bow (matching the BM dresses) arond the whole thing tieing it closed. (between our names and date). Can you visualize? WHat do you think. I think it would be easy to do.

It sounds like a great idea! I have been to wedding where they use the tri-fold and it came out really nice. You could def do it yourself on the computer. In fact I think Michaels has paper that you can use that is tri-fold. Also I think putting a ribbon that matches your BM is a cute idea! GOOD LUCK

sounds awesome - i made practically the exact same design for my FSIL's wedding a couple months ago! so easy and they came great. I punched holes so that the ribbon wouldn't fall off when you untied it. i wish i had a pic but i don't. i may be able to get one this weekend. i'll see what i can do.
ETA: I was pressed for time so I printed one on regular paper at work, brought them to staples and had them copy it onto cardstock, both sides. then i assembled them myself. if i had ore time i would have bought the paper and printed them myself. i think it would be easy.

Thanks Lorena! Where exactly did you punch the holes? That is a really good idea.

Sounds great--I am also doing a trifold ceremony program and wrapping them with ribbon!

Re: What do you think of this idea for programs...
Good question cuz it was so confusing!!! Ok, picture the 8x11 piece of paper horizontal/landscape. I folded the right side in first. I punched the holes in the middle of the right side while folded (so when you open it the holes are on the right side of the middle panel and the left side of the right panel). then i opened the right side and folded over the left side and punched the hole in the middle of the left side while folded (so when you open the holes are on the left side of the middle panel and the right side of the left panel). then the ribbon went through the back inside the holes on the middle panel and outside the holes on the left and right panels. right side gets folded in and then left, tie in the middle.
i know that was so confusing so let me know if i can clear it up a little.
also, i didn't have time to find trifold paper so it took me longer to fold these neatly. with the right materials it should be really easy.
edited for bad spelling

That sounds like a very nice idea. The ribbon will add a nice touch.
