My parents (mom, dad and stepmom) are hosting. My mom wasnt so thrilled to hear that i wanted to put my stepmom on the invite but she is definitely involved in the wedding process. whats kinda weird is that my mom never changed her married name after the divorce, but sometimes uses her maiden plus married name.

Re: what do you think of this invite wording?
I think that wording is fine. y only suggestion is to add after your husbands name ' son of Mr. and Mrs. martinez (depending on the situation of course). But if his parents have friends and family attending, it is sometimes nice to include their names even though they are not hosting.

I agree. Especially if FIL's are helping out at all.......even in the tiniest bit, they should be on the invite.

Re: what do you think of this invite wording?
My mom still has her married name also although she is single and my step mom is on there also. Mine read
Ms. Michele Verbiar & Mr. & Mrs. Gerard Verbiar
request.... and the rest
For a single adul female you don't have Mrs. it's Ms. This will differentiate her from your step mom too

Re: what do you think of this invite wording?
How would your mom feel with going by Ms. Mom Smith Jones (instead of Mrs.). That's typically how it's worded if a woman is single. I think it would make the scenario clearer to the reader, but again your mom would have to be comfortable with this.

Your mom should be Ms. Mrs is reserved for married (or widowed) women.

Ms. Mom Smith Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Dad Jones
Seems to be the best wording for your situation. We were having a similar situation for our invites, and that was definitely one of the wordings we considered.

I think the wording is perfect! Thats usual for a mother not to change her name after a divorce I think.....they want to have the same name as their children
