What do you think of this Ketubah

I think I have found my ketubah!

I looked hard for something simple.

I found it on line at ketubahworks.
The artist had been great! We went back and forth over what I wanted and she was most helpful.

She has several prints which are very reasonably. She also does custom work, but has cut back on these projects.

Thanks for all the good vibes. My FI was shocked when he saw the price -- but it is one of the few things that we'll have after the wedding.

I was thinking I would get it framed with the broken glass as the boarder. That might look cool if we could get someone to do it right.

That's a cool idea.

I LOVE that ketubah. its so pretty and elegant. A lot of them just have too much going on. That one is SO pretty. It's beautiful to display all on its own, even as a decoration. Its gorgous. I'm defintiely going to check out that site.

That is what I am thinking. So of the ketubuah are just ugly. Orginally I didn't care... but I changed my mind.

However this particular ketubah is a actually is pretty non-traditional (the text) and the art has some odd meaning. I am trying to get it changed so something more meaningful.

I'm sure you can get it changed. I can't read it from the pic. is the english written in small letters under the hebrew? that's what it looks like, but it's hard to tell. It's so grogeous though. Go for it! I'm going to show it to my FH I know he would like it. He likes sort of simplistic elegant stuff. We're looking to buy some jewish related stuff for our home and a lot of it is SO busy. I know it comes from a tradition of everything being SOOO ornate. But then it dones't fit in with anything at all. Even the lenox seder plate we bought, I feel is really busy. Anyway, I digress, as usual. GREAT choice. I love love love it

It is Hebrew and English, but not the traditional ketubah text. She is doing the traditional text for me, she has offered to do a different top -- it is just more money. Which no one has. :) Also she really want to built her print collection, so anything we do has to be re-usable.

In truth she (melisa) has been great - because I keep going back and forth about what I want. Sigh -- I swore I wouldn't be a bridezilla.

I know what you mean about Jewish stuff being kind of overdone. A lot of it is just too different from other things. My FI is the KING of clean and simple looking things. Yet he wants a chocolate fountain ....
