What do you think of this setting for my ering?

I've always loved halos and split shanks. I just hope it's not too trendy. Thoughts?

i have pave and lost a diamond the small ones can be delicate....stick with the solitare and get a nice band or get one on each side !

That was what I originally wanted. Its beautiful. Then I reconsidered b/c I heard of the small diamonds falling out and that those rings are very delicate. I am way to hard on my jewlery so I opted for a simple soltaire... told him to put all the money into the diamond.

It depends on whats best for you though.

I think its nice! Go for it! If 25 years from now you decide it is too much, you can always have it reset.

IMHO i think its trendy.. sorry.. i dont mean to offend anyone-- this is just my opinion. i feel like you would be able to look at it 20 years from now and it screams i got engaged in the 2000s.. KWIM.. for example.. picture an '80s ring in your head... imagine that will be the halos in 20 years...
if youre ok with it than i say go for it... it is beautiful.. i almost got one but i decided on something more simple and classic. and you can always reset it down the road!

I have to agree. I'm not trying to disrespect anyone, but IMO it's the style that is in now.

I have a pave setting ring , that has 168 diamonds and i have yet to loose one , i have had my ring for a year .

You can always re-set your ring later in life, lots of women I know who got married in the 80's /early 90's have recently re-set their ring with pave or other styles. if you like it, don't worry about it being too 'trendy' . as long as you love it thats all that matters .

I think its very trendy, but it is still gorgeous. Everything is trendy......the only thing is be careful of losing diamonds-it will happen with that setting, they pop and you wont even notice

The ring is very pretty. It is a bit trendy but you can always reset it later if your taste changes.

i love it, but i'm partial because i have pave and a halo, and have yet to loose a stone.
my first setting was a simpler one because i was afraid of being caught up in a trend, but afterwards i found i kept looking at that style, and had my ring reset - and i've been satisfied ever since! if i change my mind down the road, i will just reset it again.
