What do you think of this wedding dress? POLL

It's a skirt and top - helen morley? My concern is it's not formal enough but I know I can dress it up with a veil and headpiece.

It's $599 and I have it on hold - sample sale. It looks really great on but I had to check my bag (digital camera) so I did not get a pic of me in the dress.

I think it is pretty but its not WOW. Unless thats what you wannt..simplicity..which cna work too with the right acessories

I like it - but I keep thinking what I can do with it afterward. I have already decided I can use the top for black tie affairs with tuxedo pants. LOL LOL

I'm not getting the WOW either although the $599 price tag nearly did it for me. But $599 for just the top does not seem worth it although it looked handmade.

I've only tried on 2 dresses and I have TONS of time before we get married. We have not even set a definite date (likely 10/9/05 though) or picked a hall. LOL LOL

agree... it's pretty though and i went for the more straight yet flowy look as well - i was lucky as my mom made my dress. i REFUSED to pay thousands of dollars for something i was never going to wear again. however my mother is now in the process of taking apart my dress and making me a new one i could actually wear to another affair

Amazing that your mom could do that!!!!

I never even considered it but my mom sews and my grandma has made tons of bridemaids dresses - inlcuding 8 for my cousin's wedding on 1999.

I never even asked my grandma about making my dress. I'm pretty sure she has made a few eddding dresses too. But that means finding a pattern?!?! Ugh! Or I can give her pics and get her to copy something I suppose?

My grandma is like 73 but she has e-mail so I can send her the pics of the dress I like and see what she says. It may be too much for her though since it's lots of metallic lace.

I like this dress better than the Mori Lee dress in your other post. I wore a halter and think it was formal enough. Mine had beading on the waist and hem, but it had the same basic shape as yours:

Personally I think it's a pretty dress. BUT if it's not THE dress, why spend even $599 on it? You don't even necessarily have to spend thousands on THE dress...you might get lucky (again!).
