Each guest would get a striped coffee mug from pier one with a bag of gourmet coffee that says on it 'The Perfect Blend - - -Kimberly & Michael - Oct. 29, 2005' I would probably put them all in white bags on a table for people to pick up on their way out.
I've seen that done a lot for showers. I don't like getting a lone mug, I would never use it.

I like the idea, but there is one slight exception to the fact that I'm an avid coffee drinker, but I have my coffee mug, it's kind of hard to explain. Basically, I think the gift would be a great favor, I would use the coffee, but the mug may end up collecting dust, unless I have people over and someone uses it, or my usual mug breaks.
I know that the many avid coffee drinkers tend to have an affinity to a certain coffee mug, I literally get territorial about my coffee mugs, especially the one in my office. If someone uses it, I go crazy! LOL

It's cute, but it prob wouldn't really go with most sets. I don't drink coffee, so I'd make my FH have to drink it! JMO!

I had a very similar idea but was also going to put in a coffee scoop & I got rid of the idea because I was finding that if I gave every person 1 set (mug, coffee scoop, coffee etc) some families would end up with 6 coffee scoops. I think it is a cute idea but I think in the end you might want to do the coffee & a scoop per couple or coffee & tea per couple. But i do like the coffee idea.

Thanks - but, just to clarify, it actually isn't a lone mug... Every person gets one, so for couples, they'd have two...

This may not make any sense at all, but I don't think it really goes with the place where you are having your reception. It's such a unique space, maybe something NYC themed, or something really clever. I'm sorry - just being honest!!

I think the idea is definitely cute and guests would like it, but I think the design on the mugs might not be everyone's taste. You might want to look for something a little more standard or traditional. I think it's definitely worth looking into. Good Luck!

I think people are over-analyzing. Who cares if some people already have a favorite coffee mug or if others don't drink coffee etc (use it as a pen holder). You will never find a favor that will please 100% of the population. I think it is a very cute idea, one of the better ones I've seen on here. Go for it!
